Energy Basketball are thrilled to announce the signing of US import Jordan Coleman who graduated from Valparaiso University in 2014. Coleman played for the Valparaiso Crusaders in the NCAA Division 1 competition. The 6 foot 5 guard averaged 8.1 points and 3.8 rebounds per game, and played an average of 20.9 minutes per game in his final season with the Crusaders.
Coach Jason Sutherland believes that having a player of Coleman’s stature will be very exciting for Latrobe City Energy in 2016. Speaking of what he can bring to Energy on the court Sutherland said “Jordan was team captain in his senior year, which will bring valuable leadership to our program. At 6’5, he can play the 1, 2 and 3 spot, making him a difficult player to guard.”
“Jordan is looking forward to coming to Australia to represent Energy on and off the court. He will definitely be an exciting player to watch next year.”
Energy Basketball president Trevor Henry said “Energy is thrilled to sign Jordan for the 2016 Big V Season. His leadership skills and playing credentials will add depth to the depleted men’s playing roster, and make him a great mentor for our younger elite basketballers. We are confident that Jordan will do well on and off the court and are enthusiastic to welcome him to the Energy family”
Jordan Coleman will join the Energy in early February 2016 ahead of the Big V season tip-off in March.
